Turbo definition
Turbo 1 refers to the two highest score in game 5
Turbo 2 refers to the two highest score in game 6
Registration for the turbo is made in connection with registration and payment, which must take place before the squad starts.

Athlete who is at least 50 years of age at the first day of the tournament
Limitations with registered squads until start of tournament
- Limited to being registered for a total 3 squads!
- EBT rules define a limitation of being registered to a maximum of 2 squads for the finale weekend, 5th-6th of September untill tournament starts on the 22nd of August.
The following 54 Athletes are qualified for the Finals
40 athletes, positioned 1-40 in the general standing:
- Athletes positioned 1-8 are qualified for Final 4
- Athletes positioned 9-16 are qualified for Final 3
- Athletes positioned 17-30 are qualified for Final 2
- Athletes positioned 31-40 are qualified for Final 1
14 athletes qualified for Final 1 from the following gates:
- 4 athletes from a separate standing consisting of scores from squad 1-9
- 2 highest scoring women, not qualified from the general standing
- 2 highest scoring juniors, not qualified from the general standing
- 2 highest scoring veterans, not qualified from the general standing
- 2 highest scoring athletes in Turbo 1, not qualified from any other standing
- 2 highest scoring athletes in Turbo 2, not qualified from any other standing
If an athlete is qualified from more than one standing, he will qualify according to a priority of standings as listed above. The next positioned athlete in the other standing(s), where the same athlete is qualified as well, will then qualify instead.
Final step 1
24 athletes will play 4 games starting from scratch
Athletes positioned 1-10 is qualified for the Final step 2
Athletes positioned 11-24 will be ranked 41-54
Final step 2
24 athletes will play 4 games starting from scratch
Athletes positioned 1-8 is qualified for the Final step 3
Athletes positioned 9-24 will be ranked 25-40
Final step 3
16 athletes will play 4 games starting from scratch
Athletes positioned 1-8 is qualified for the Final step 4
Athletes positioned 9-16 will be ranked 17-24
Final step 4
16 athletes will play 4 games starting from scratch
Athletes positioned 1-4 is qualified for the final step 4
Athletes positioned 5-16 will be ranked 5-16
Step ladder final
4 athletes will play step ladder final.
Position 4 play 1 game against position 3, winner meets position 2 and so on.
3 matches will be played in the step ladder round to decide the winner of Norwegian Open by Storm 2025.
Qualification
The highest positioned athlete will be the athlete scoring the highest last game. If a tie still exists, the highest positioned athlete will be the athlete with the highest second last game etc.
Turbo
In case of a tie in one of the Turbo standings, the highest positioned athlete will be the athlete with the highest position after the qualification.
Final Step 1-4
Ties influencing who will qualify for the next final step will be broken by playing a 9th and 10th frame roll off, repeated until the tie is broken. In all other tie situations, a procedure similar to the procedure for the qualification will be followed.

All urethane or urethane-like balls must have a minimum hardness of 78.0HD.

Exception: Urethane balls from ProBowl are allowed even though ProBowl is not licensed by the PBA.
